Bogut mentions the Red Rowdies in the article.

pretty cool of Bogut to do that the guy probably wasnt worth the #1 overall pick (wasnt paul and williams in that draft class?) but he is a good nba center and has a better perspective on life than most other guys imo.

it would be nice if more teams were willing to do this to try to get more of a lively atmosphere at games

yeah, it's a good idea overall. he probably could have just asked the bucks marketing/publicity group to do something similar to red rowdies..or maybe the bucks asked him to do it. i doubt it, though.

that's a lot of money overall..

Bogut won't blow your mind like CP3 and Deron, but he's really solid with no holes in his game, and with the sudden emergence of good pgs (esp. in this draft), centers become even more valuable. I like Bogut a lot, he's one of my fav non-rox players. Anybody have the vid of him high-fiving himself?

I don't mind Bogut, this is a nice sacrifice for the good of the team. The Bucks should pick up the tab next season onwards though. The only thing I don't like about Bogut is when he plays for the national team. He takes a "it's on me" approach and does things like dribble the length of the court and do crossovers only to have it stolen. He needs to rely on some of his teammates more, even if they're not in the NBA.

Bogut is a solid player but fantasy owners know much about his injury woes:

    Games Played

    05-06 - 82
    06-07 - 66
    07-08 - 78
    08-09 - 36
    09-10 - 11 (out of 17)

i dont understand. bogut is paying for these tickets all by himself?
    salary $10,000,000/82 = $121,951 a game.
he going to be giving about 40% of his money away on this? bet he loves road games.

Bogut is on the wrong team. He is competitive, tough, he falt out cares. Nobody would know it. Go look at the video of him fake fiving his teammates after a free throw... He desperately needs to hook up with a decent franchise.

The Freaking Bucks are cheap. When Van Gundy started the red rowdy's the rockets helped chiped in.

he's gonna spend $100k for all the home games.
    $100,000 / 41 = $2439.02 for 100 tickets a game.
    that's $24.39 per ticket.
