This is the craziest story. Son tells his mom he raped a 3yr old. Mom calls his father. He comes out and drives the kid out to a field and shoots him.
I think they should let him go. He's not a danger to people, except child molesters.

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich.—A 37-year-old father irate over hearing his 15-year-old son had sexual contact with a 3-year-old girl made the teen strip at gunpoint, marched him to a vacant lot and shot him to death despite pleas from the boy and his mother, a relative said.
Michigan authorities filed a first-degree murder charge Wednesday against Jamar Pinkney Sr. in the shooting death Monday of Jamar Pinkney Jr. in the Detroit enclave of Highland Park.
Defense attorney Corbett O’Meara said prosecutors should consider evidence of the father’s state of mind over the sex abuse report.
“If something were to happen that would cause a reasonable person to lose control of himself, that is something the prosecution would have to take into account,” O’Meara said outside Highland Park District Court.
Tensions were high in the courtroom Wednesday as the handcuffed suspect was led into the room for the arraignment, which lasted less than a minute.
“No, No, No,” one female relative cried before a police officer escorted her out.
Judge Brigette Officer entered a not guilty plea for Pinkney, who’s also charged with assault, and ordered him jailed without bond until a preliminary examination Dec. 1.
“This is something that’s hard to deal with for all the parties concerned, including the police,” police Chief Ted Caldwell said afterward. “Highland Park is a small city. These are people who have been members of the community for years.”
Caldwell said the sexual misconduct allegation that led to the confrontation wasn’t part of the police investigation.
The shooting happened Monday night in a vacant lot in the once-prosperous city of 16,000, where decay, abandonment, fires and demolition have eaten away at many of the sprawling homes. Highland Park recently exited years of state financial oversight.
Visitors built an impromptu memorial at the shooting site. Two votive candles sat amid 10 stuffed animals, including two white teddy bears with red hearts embroidered with, “I love you.”
The boy’s mother, Lazette Cherry, told the Detroit Free Press that her son told her he had improper sexual contact with the girl.
“I called and told his father. This isn’t something you sweep under the rug,” she said.
Cherry said the elder Pinkney arrived at the home with a gun, ordered his son to strip and marched him outside despite her protests.
“He got on his knees and begged, ‘No, Daddy, No,’ and he pulled the trigger,” Cherry said.
Cherry did not immediately respond to a message Wednesday from The Associated Press seeking comment.

According to this story, the son admitted to his family that he sexually touched his 3 yr old half sister. It was his father's daughter from another woman.

Family members said the argument stemmed from a confession made by the son. According to Jamar Pinkney Jr.'s family, the teen told his mother that he'd touched his 3-year-old half-sister inappropriately at his father's Detroit home.
The toddler is his father's daughter with another woman.

I dont even know what to think. I'm the type who loves debating either side but I think its a lose lose.
But one is just worse then the other. So maybe a lose, lost (permanently lost).

Throw the book at him. The same lack of control that allowed the boy to rape his sister allowed this psychotic father to strip his teenage son naked and execute him. Time to stop using other people's sins as a pre-text for indulging in our own savagery.

Not sure what to say about the incident. WTF!?
Personally, I find that saying the boy "raped" his sister is quite misleading. Maybe this is just my interpretation of the word. But I just think that "raping" would consist a lot more than just "touching inappropriately". The former I can see the dad doing what he did(even if I would still disagree). The latter make the dad's actions just messed up.

Although what the kid did is disgusting...I think what the father did is 100x worse. Its not even close.
And I agree with meh on the issue.

If that is the way the father judges and executes judgment, he should be held to the same standard. Forgiveness, mercy, understanding, those things are being tossed out the window. The odds are the father was either sexually molested as a boy or he sexually molested someone else as a small boy. Or else he is some religious zealout without proper understanding of the balance between God's mercy and God's judgment, just like radical Muslims or the guy that murdered the abortion doctor. An absolute terrible travesty.

Unbelievable tragedy. The father should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. What the boy did was terrible, but at least he confessed to it, which should be encouraged. That the boy was on his knees begging for his life and his father still pulled the trigger and killed him is sick. The father is a depraved individual and deserves no mercy.
I can't see how any reasonable person could defend the father's actions.

Add that the boy was naked and crying "No, daddy, no" just kills me alone.
Did the story say whether the boy was a step son or blood son?

I can't and won't defend the father...
But I can see how someone raping your 3 year old daughter would make you a little crazy...

If it was actually "rape" of his 3 yr old sister, I still would not defend the vigilante justice aspect, but I would support the end result (the punishment [execution]).
But execution is a bit extreme, IMO, for creepy-style "touching".

I can't imagine what any one person in that family is going through. I would not have been surprised if the father had turned the gun on himself. I die a little inside when I get upset at my kids. This is horrible.
The reaction of the father makes me wonder if he was a victim of sexual abuse as well.
