    Bay owns the rights to Platinum Dunes that's why he gets credit as producer. He never works on these movies.

    The original movie scared me to the point where I couldn't watch any Freddy K. movies growing up. *shudder*

    First one is a classic, then they decided to make him funny and yeah the scares vanished and were given bad one liners.

    Remakes can be creative too... just depends how they're done. The Dark Knight is a remake right and that movie is probably one of the most creative movies ever.

    the Dark Knight is not a remake. that story was never told before

    there have been different adaptations of Batman, to be sure. but The Dark Knight is unique in terms of material it adapted for the big screen.

    this movie is throwing out identical scenes.
