    What a crappy month. Planes crashing into the ocean, hundred degree days, no rain, celebrities dying left and right, the Lakers win the NBA title and Yao's career might be over. Bring on July.

    Yeah, this has been as crappy a sports month (for me) as I can remember in a long, long time.

    1) Yao's career possibly over
    2) Magic choking not once, but twice in epic fashion to hand title to Lakers
    3) US soccer blowing 2-0 second half lead against Brazil
    4) Phil Mickelson choking US Open
    5) the only local sports team playing that I follow is the Astros
    6) Tracy is still with the Rockets

    I'm sure there are plenty of others I'm forgetting. Good riddance, June 2009.
