Saw a thread about this in the D&D, but it had nothing to do with the car, so I googled it. This looks like a bad-ass car. I'll be waiting for it to get here. Introducing: The Panamera.
The starting price for the S is around $90k. There's going to be 3 versions of it. The $120-$135k price will be for the Turbo. Personally I think Porsche's design doesn't translate well to 4 doors. When I first saw the spyshots of this car, I thought they just elongated a 911 or Boxster.
I like the way the Cayanne (sp?) looks but this sedan looks like a boxter front with a station wagon rear.
With the huge sales numbers put up by the Lexus LS, BMW 7's, and Mercedes S class, it's really a wonder it took them this long to come up with a four door.
Gross. Looks like a Pontiac Grand AM with a Miata front end. Stick to what your good at. This is like Chuck Hayes trying to become a pure shooter. Not a pretty sight.
The reason is that at one time Porsche was known for one thing - performance sports cars. That all changed when they wanted to make a buck off "the common man" and come up with SUV's that outrun their 911 Turbos and a bastardized 911 called the Boxster that people could afford and still claim "I drive a Porsche". Now a Porsche sedan? *shudder*
I am a fan of some of the older Porsche's including the non-911's. Some of those 80's models still look like cars from the future. I do like that sedan, very surprised it translated that well actually. I don't get the Porsche hate from you guys. I am a Corvette owner (Stingray) and you don't see me getting my panties in a wad.

No kidding. I had Moses Malone's 928 in college and I can guaran-freaking-tee you it dropped a few panties.
i'll say that i like the final design much, much more than the the early spyshots, but i agree w/ you completely... the porsche design just doesn't translate well into a 4-door sedan. the cayenne, however, is very nice.
