I must admit that i was pretty excited about that portland victory last night, but i then stopped and realized that this excitement may end soon, or maybe im just getting siked up for a let down. So im wondering should i not get excited, knowing we will lose to the lakers in round 2?

C'mon now! You don't know anything yet. Heck, we just won the first game.

You should support the Rockets either way,. You never know what could happen in round two, if we make it that far.

JVG thinks we can challenge the Lakers, and I agree.

The Lakers are good, but don't automatically discount the Rockets.

    Stay humble, Stay hungry...

I can be a pessimist sometimes, but what the f*** is this???

I'm tired of everyone who thinks we're damned to face the Lakers in the second round. Rookies, Members, Contributing Members, whoever, just stop it.

There's no more pride losing to the Lakers in the WCF than there is pride losing to them in the 2nd round.

The sooner we face them, the better! Bring it on FAKERS!

Why not enjoy the Portland series first?

That was a GREAT performance by the Rockets on both ends of the floor last night and basketball fans should appreciate that kind of performance.

So if you are a Rockets fan, just sit back and enjoy their performance. Artest and Batman were suffocating Roy last night and Yao and Brooks just ripped them apart on offense. Fun game all around.

the Lakers feared the Rose Garden going into this series.

if Houston can go into Portland, a place where LA hasn't won in YEARS, and blow out the Blazers by 30, you don't think that somewhere in the back of the Lakers' minds they are thinking about that?

we just gained a mental edge in our potential matchup in the 2nd round, if and when we get there.
