Damn, I wish the BW3's in Pittsburgh had events like this or were half as interesting.

Its hilarious that Scola is charging for his autograph. I know I would enjoy having it, but its not worth $10 to me. In fact, I can only think of two or three players who's autograph I would pay for.

Funny I can't think of any.

If anything, I wish I could talk hoops with some of those basketball players. I guess I would enjoy some chit chat with Luis, Shane, and Deke. I wouldn't even care for an autograph or picture.

Pretty sure it's the company hosting it that's charging for it, not Scola.

Exactly. I met Scola and a few other Rockets when they were in town last year after beating Portland. Totally can NOT see that guy charging for an autograph.

Nobody that learns English by watching episodes of "Friends" should ever charge for an autograph. ;)

It has to be a company issue, we argentineans are not used to pay for autographs, basketball players don´t charge, tennis players also don´t charge, neither soccer players...

Just got back from BWW and getting his autograph. Here's my experience:

When he walked in everybody was cheering and Luis seemed a bit surprised that so many people came out to see him.

It was 10$ for a small poster, 25$ for a large poster, and 35$ for a basketball.

But they were also selling a pair of his game-worn shoes for 150$, as well as a game-worn Olympic jersey for 600$ .

I did see someone buy a pair of shoes.

When he was signing my basketball, I congratulated him on becoming captain of the Argentinian basketball team and he smiled and said thank you.

A little boy in front of me was celebrating his birthday and Luis was nice enough to shake his hand and ask for his name and signed "Happy Birthday (the boy's name)". The little boy ran out of the restaurant shouting that he would never wash his hand again. :)

I had a great time, Luis is a really nice player as well as nice person.

Got back from this a little while ago. He was terribly nice, shaking just about everyone's hands when he came in and everyone was going nuts. I saw him pose for a few pictures.

I got him to sign my beanie, so now I've got AB and Scola. Just need Landry to complete the 07-08 rookie trifecta.
