watch out for scola this second half (third) of the season

ev1 is forgetting about the guy but this guy can easily get 20 and 10 if the rox make a point of involving him more in the offense

yao, artest and scola are a pretty good core to build around. of course we already know we got some serious talent in landry, brooks, wafer, battier and deke

my point is iam more than happy and comfortable going to war with those guys above. those guys play very hard and have tons of talent and the chemistry is starting to show between them

its also exciting cause we FINALLY can test yaos true worth this season. the guy has been comfortable as a side kick for his entire career, but now we get to test yaos true metal. this is the year where we find out if yao is a true franchise player or just another second banana all star who puts up nice numbers

challenges and the unknown are what will make this ride well worth it. so strap yourself in and enjoy the ride! :D

    forget about that

we were after caron butler!!!!! http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomo...02/post_80.html

Any idea on what the Rockets were offering for Caron Butler and any idea on what the Wizards wanted?

    ---------------------------------------------------------
Supposedly straight up for Artest. The Wizards didn't want anybody. They weren't interested. I'm sure if you brought up Yao Ming, they would have been interested, but that would have been stupid.

I just hope we will meet Orlando in the final, Alston plays huge for 3 games then get a minor injury to sit the next three games, Houston beat Orlando 4-2.

If you think Rafer Alston, the same guy that shot under 40% here, is going to make a team a contender, then you are wrong.

The word contender gets thrown around too much these days.

After Nelson's injury, there are only 4 CONTENDING teams in this league.

    Lakers
    Cavs
    Celtics
    Spurs

    That's it.

Damn. On one hand, Butler's got a nice game. OTOH, he has had some issues with injuries the last couple of seasons.

You know, I agree. If we can keep Artest, Yao/Scola/Artest is really a nice combination. If we lose Artest in the off season, at least we will still have Mac's expiring to find a third to go with those two.

you have no idea about Rafer's ability of control game tempo, that is something Orlando missed and we will miss.

Most of Scola's points were a result of Alston's penetration. They built a great rapport in recent games, running the p 'n' r to perfection. Scola isn't a good enough player to be considered a piece to a "Big Three". He's a very good role player, that's it.
