I didn't see anyone post a thread about this, but aren't you guys excited Mutombo finally got to play? I was really happy when I saw him out there on the court. He looked pretty good, in my opinion. What impact do you think he's going to have on this team? What differences do you think he'll be making?

I will say this when Deke got off the bench the roar from the crowd was probably the loudest I heard from the TC this year. Same after his first basket. I was hoping he would be able to block a shot to get in a finger wag but surprisingly the lakers stop driving the lane and dumping it down to bynum when he came into the game...coincidence? I think not

I expect him to play about 5 minutes a week. I think the Rockets signed him mostly for what he brings off the court, not on the court.

He's the insurance that Rockets bought for Yao.:D

LOL.He looks in great shape to me,good to play,at least few minutes on the court to buy time for Yao to rest on the bench.

I think this is good news for our Rockets, backup C is needed.

I jumped out of my seat and didn't return to it until he scored his first bucket. I was beyond happy to see him play again.

Deke had a couple good baskets, but nothing beats seeing that finger wag back. Hope he starts getting some blocks soon!!

I was very happy to see him play. Everyone stopped driving and shot outside. Hopefully he can play 10-15 mins from now on.

I think this is probably one of the biggest reasons Deke was brought back this year at the time he was!!
