Now that there is a new year upon us and my girlfriend is out of her first trimester, I am happy to announce that we are expecting our first child later this year. The due date is the first week of July (July 5). We're not sure about the sex of the child yet but we'll find out later this month or next month. I'm really not partial to one or the other, just a healthy baby. I've known for a couple of months now but I didn't want to announce anything until she was out of that tricky first trimester and we both respectively told our families. I know we're not out of the woods yet and nothing is guaranteed but I am being cautiously optimistic and am very happy.
I'd wager it's because there is so much pro-abortion sentiment on this board, to go along with the "why would you want a baby?", mantra. Congrats.
Congratulations!!! I'm expecting my first on June 20th, God willing. My theory is there's gonna be a lot of baby's born in H-town around that time thanks to Ike.
Congrats, I have a 2 year old that has completely changed my life for the better. She is truly my joy. We dropped her off with my parents last night so that we could go party downtown and I couldn't wait to pick her up...of course it wasn't until close to 3am She put a big smile on my face when I saw her. The only thing I can think of to actually complain about is that damn $800 a month daycare bill which was even more than that when I first put her in there.
