Early in the Rockets-Jazz game, Clyde said Yao is the best center in the game, and then he said after Best True center in the game.

I am not sure if he is referring to Dwight and Duncan, or just Duncan. For true center.

I think he is meaning just Duncan as not as not a true center.

Anybody agree with me?

Tell me what your definition of a true center is then I'll tell you if he is or not.

The real question is how dumb this thread is. If Dwight Howard isn't a "true center" then what is he? A Martian?

a Tweener, PF/C is another possible answer.

Seriously, there is no "tweener" about him. He's 6'11, 270+ lbs. and plays very close to the basket, always defends the opposing center and is flanked by 2 SFs in their starting lineup. What makes you think he's a PF in any way shape or form?

I doubt many people can tell you the difference between a pf and a c, much less a true center.

He played PF during his younger days, but it's good to know that Clyde also meant Yao is greater than that overrated fraud.

You are a nutcase if you believe Howard is a fraud. Grow up, it's OK to acknowledge other players are good if you like the Rockets. You don't have to demonize every opponent. Maybe that makes you feel good.

LOL, he plays like a high schooler against Yao. He is overrated, but I could careless if he's a fraud.

dude, i think we should arrange a date with you and Mr. Pink, a nice candle light dinner would be great for both of you. then both of you can have a nice debate about D. Howard.

p/s: im not answering the poll because firstly, it doesnt belong in the Game Action & Roster Move as it doesnt involve anything about our team, so pls move it to the other thread group. and i agree with the other poster, you have been too eager to start threads which might annoy some of us here, suggest you lay off for a while for your own good, we want quality thread not quantity.

A center's role in basketball is generally to rebound, block shots, finish strong at the rim, and guard the opposing team's center. By that description, there isn't a "truer" center in the league than Dwight Howard.

But, really, this is just another "Yao is obviously better than Dwight Howard" thread. No serious person would question whether Howard is a center.

From his posts in this idiotic thread, I now understand the thread starter is not to be taken seriously. Lesson learned.
