I've reading for the past few months that so many of You want to trade away McGrady and now even Yao. Where is the fan loyalty. These 2 are my two favorite players in the NBA. I don't want them to go to another team. I want to cheer for them in a Rocket uniform. Call me old fashion, but I like rooting for players that I have been accustom to seeing for the past few years. T-Mac played his heart out last year in the playoffs. Or did you guys forget. Yao tries everynight to play as hard as possible. He has so much grace and respect for everyone. I just can't believe so many of you members just want to trade our players away. I love these guys and I love my team.
I am loyal to the Rockets organization, if a player has to go to make the team better, that is ok with me. Not saying anyone has to go, but players look out for themselves (rightfully so) and so should us fans. DD
when u have a thousand plus members actively posting then theres going to be crazies asking to trade yao and t-mac. Just the way it is. I don't think thats the popular opinion.
I am ROCKETS fan and a fan of whoever plays well for them. Players come and go, the Rockets remain. Sports boards are not for the overly sensitive; all the "bandwagon" and "loyalty" nonsense recycles every season. Fans are upset with players when they stink, especially when they look like they are not really into the game. If you are hurt or can't play, sit down. When players help the Rockets win, they will be praised; when they help them lose, they will be criticized. Give it up with the "I'm a real fan" baloney. There is not a player on this team I wouldn't trade tomorrow for a better player.
What do you expect this team cant get out the first round in like 11 years people are tired of losing and there emotions run wild. Plus Yao and T-mac are 2 of the most inconsistent players in the NBA and major headaches
I'm a Rockets fan. Not a Yao fan. Not a Tracy fan. Not a Rick fan. Not a... If we swapped every player on our team with OKC, I'd still be a Rockets fan - a terribly upset one - but a Rocket fan none the less. That is a loyal clutchfan.
Yah, they banned me for defending T-mac during LAL game thread and lower my status. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw some of these clowns praising t-mac, ironicly the same ones bashing him vs the lakers. Some of the posts the freaking homers posted 11/9/08. TMac...biggest chump EVER !! Lost us this game Rockets should have traded TMAC for RIP. This is just frustrating. and he keeps smiling while Kobe has his game face on. Tmac is in the wrong league. He should be in the WNBA. Tmac is absolute trash. Tmac big p***y
I agree, but most people on clutch are rocket fan first than thee players, they just want the best for their team, i can understand that but what i hate is they switch on and off, for example, people hate and boo the rockets when they suck or in a slump and turn their back on them, but when the are hot, they bangwagon, i will stick with the rockets no matter what, but im a tmac fan b4 rocket
I've been around long enough to simply to care about these threads/posts anymore. If I feel like it, I'll comment. But mostly I just let it go. For this season in particular, I have been pretty apathetic about the Rockets regular season. It really just doesn't matter to me anymore. The only thing I care about is our core all healthy going into the post season. I don't even care if we have the 8th seed. It's just a waiting game until April.
All these negative threads and posters reacting to one or two bad games brings this bbs down... Look on the bright side - we are leading the division, will extend the lead tomorrow when we play the spurs, and our stars and the team will gel by the time playoffs come around. Our 82nd game is a long, long way away - how can you be so quick to dismiss the season this early?
when our successes become much better,we will see that nagative threads less,it doesnt Rockets fans are not loyalty.some of us just not satified with our result
Arguing that being loyal to a team over a player is wrong. Everyone should pick their own loyalties. If you so happen to be loyal to Kobe and the Timberwolves, it would make sense to root for both and hope there is a trade. That's why, if you are loyal to the Rockets and the stars Yao and T-mac, you should cheer them on, support them and hope for the best. Be supportive of players even if they aren't that good. From Luther Head to T-mac we as fans need to show them some love.
Sorry, if heroes like Olajuwon and Tomjanovich (guys that, you know, deserved loyalty) weren't immune to being shipped away, a chump like She-Mac shouldn't be either.
QUOTED FOR MOTHER****ING TRUTH! Every word of this is 100% spot on. Good post, I feel the exact same way in that I love T-Mac and Yao. I don't want them traded, even if there may be better players out there because I wanna see them win a championship together in Houston.
There is difference between you are rockets fan because you are T-Mac/Yao fan and you are T-Mac/Yao fan because you are rockets fan.
A lot of us are loyal. You can tell who they are because they don't post in those threads and get caught up just because a few games.
