the guy even backs how great yao is, and i still have to say that yao was playing in a back2back and was fouled/pulled down on the other arm. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...-wish-he-was-a-lil-bit-taller-?urn=nba,118833
It looked much worse than it was. He was going to dunk it with two hands, but just as he was about to the defender pulls on his arm. That threw him off balance, and he wasn't able to get enough lift.
what an insulting video but then what would u expect from someone with an intelligence level of a squid!! its obvious he was fouled so why make a big deal out of it, i mean he still had a good game n we beat Dallas.
Yao has looked extra slow and unathletic this season. Is he 100%? Sure doesn't look like it. He was much more mobile a couple of years ago. I'm not buying this 'he was fouled' argument either. When you try to dunk from right underneath the basket, only a hard foul should stop you. With Yao, it seems any contact at all makes him miss easy dunks.
yes.... that's funny.. but we win Mavericks ..yao had a big show again.. a big man run and run Back to back games 39+minutes.... yao is so tired...
To be honest, I don't think anyone would give a damn what you're buying and what you're not buying. In reality, everyone can clearly see Yao was yanked downward and that's why he couldn't finish the dunk.
Hmm, I'm with you on your original statement. I don't think that's the only dunk he's stuffed himself on in these first three games either. The foul on Yao under the basket looked more like a slap of the hand more than anything holding him back from getting enough elevation to dunk the ball. To Yao's credit, I am sure he may have been a little winded, but to say he was held down from finishing the dunk seems silly. I just think he lacks explosiveness and vertical leap (in part due to previous injury) to be throwing down some sort of monster dunk in that situation. Even though he's a bit older and on the downside of his career I am pretty certain Shaq flushes that ball with authority and that's not really a slight against Yao.
Man, that had me laughing. Yao was a beast that game but seriously, the first 3 games of the season he has missed some dunks he should never have missed. Still, I would rather have Yao right now than any other center in the league.
That's my question - has Yao talked about not being fully recovered from the injury? He used to be pretty quick for a man his size but not anymore. At least not now. What are the chances of us seeing the "you can't effin stop me" Yao again?
that's who he is...anyone that has followed yao closely over the years knows he misses easy dunks or gets rejected by the rim more than you would think...he just lacks that lift and strength to finish strong consistently.
I wouldn't call it hating. It was just embarrassing whether he was fouled or not, and websites and others capitalize that. What's wrong with that? Can't take a little teasing and a little crack now and then?
1. Rockets are good this year. 2. I'd like to ask the author to name ONE person remotely close to being as coordinated and athletic as Yao at his size. What Yao does at 7'6 is amazing in itself. 3. Yao was fouled on his left arm. Diop dragged his arm down. Once again, how many people are they that can dunk while being dragged down by 300lbs DesangaDiop? 4. J.E. Skeets is a dumbass
Hmmm, I don't think I would call that hatin', especially with Skee-Lo's only hit song playing in the background. You have to admit, it was funny.
yeah, that's a funny video that BDL posted. yahoo didn't make the damn video. Ball Don't Lie just posts youtube videos and blogs all day long. stop crying every time Yao isn't getting praise heaped upon him.
