I put this in the NBA Dish so that tinman won't have to complain again about giving a heads up on a T-mac Orlando game in the GARM. They are going to show this game at 3pm today on ESPN Classic, and also Kobe's 81 point game later on.
Thanks. At least you realize this has no impact on Rockets history or is even a considered a Rockets "Classic" Game.
He scored 40 pts in the last game of the playoffs last year on a bum knee. The only reason he wouldn't be able to do it this year is because we have added more scoring to the roster.
I agree with that. If people are inferring that he doesn't have the ability to score 45, i disagree but with the team that morey has put together i can't see it being good thing that he go for 40+. He shole ain't droppin' 62 in the rest of his career, though.
I guess if Yao and Artest were both out (God forbid) and Tmac is just on fire it could happen, but let's hope that the Rockets don't need games like that. Tmac could very well post some very high assist games this year though.
Perhaps although with all the games Yao has missed over the last three seasons I would have expected more offensive eruptions from McGrady. I think even without the new talent this team has added it is entirely possible the guy would have never sniffed 45 points in a game ever again. It's time to admit he has lost a few steps athletically AND has lost a lot of his skills (not sure how he did that at 29). And that's ok because... Definitely. This team can finally contend with Tmac The Distributor. No longer do Rocket fans have to include in their prayers every night the one about Orlando Tmac somehow returning to save the day.
