If you are trolling around the BBS Mr. Artest, there are few things about our city, good and bad, that I would like for you to know. Hopefully it would help you get aquainted with the fans and the city. First of all, as far as Houston is concerned, the Utah j*zz, um... huh.. I mean the Jazz are the devil. They are dirty and have always been dirty since the Malone and Stockton days. I'm sure you already know this, but we hate them with a passion. Boki Nachbar basically became a hero here when he body slammed Malone in a playoff game ( I forgot which season). I hope to enshrine you in Houston sports lore for similar feets. The city itself is a wonderful sports town with loyal fans. Football is and will always be king, but The Rockets will always be dear to our hearts as a city because they have brought us our only championships. The Rockets faithfull care so much about the team however, they can be irrational after losses. But this BBS boast some of the most knowledgable fans I have ever seen. You will come to see that your children will have access to some of the best schools at every level. Americas, Star Pizza, Buco de Pepo, Maggiano's, all the Pappa's restaurants, Ruth Chris, Taste of Texas, all the Landry's restaurants, Frenchy's Fried Chicken, Jimmy Chan's, Katz's are all a must try as far as eateries are concerned. Posters please add on to the list. I'm at work now and breaktime is almost over.
^^^ I can't tell if you're joking, but "trolling" doesn't always mean being a "troll" and trying to flamebait people. In this context, it just means lurking around.
Not so much The 7th entry is in line with what you're saying, but I've never heard anyone use it in that way. The term for lurking around is "lurking". Sorry, didn't mean to derail. Just thought it was funny that the first sentence of a welcoming post was pretty much an insult
I just meant if you were casually browsing the content. I thought that's what trolling meant. My apologies. I didn't want that one word to derail the intent of this thread.
I agree with this but common. Football is not king because they haven't won championships for us. Common CLUTCH CITY?
I'm pretty sure Ron Artest knows the best Katz's deli is located in NYC on Houston st. lol Best freakin pastrami sandwiches ever! Ruth Chris is a chain and isn't really that great. If anything he needs to get some good bbq which is something NYC definitely lacks.
Frenchy's isn't all that, kinda overpriced and i think you meant Timmy Chan's. I'm willing to bet he already knows about these places anyway.
Dude you guys act like Ron Artest never played a single game in houston ever. Come on, he's been here before and I'm sure he knows all the hot spots.
yup me too from Indonesia.. Artest if ure hear, this is the biggest and most international forum for rockets organization. its cool and i like coming to this site everyday to check up although i dont post
