[CALLOUT] Don't ever buy anything from johnmvp

    I'm so happy with my PS3 I bought from moes.

    Not at all happy with my purchase of a 360 from johnmvp.

    Here's the thread John offered the thing up for sale in (scroll to bottom):

    ...by e-mail, he offered me the following package:
    ...for $350, shipping included.

    Since it was a good deal and I'm a nice guy, I gave him and extra $20 for shipping, for a total of $370. Everyone's happy, right?

    WRONG.

    So he says he needs to send the wheel/pedals at a later date, because he doesn't have them on him. Fine by me. Package gets to me, aaaaand...

    ...he forgot the cables. No power brick, no component cables.

    He sends those. They get lost/delivered to the wrong place because he didn't get a tracking number on them. I offer him $30 towards getting replacements from Microsoft, and he can take up the lost cables with the postal service.

    I've now paid $400 for what was supposed to be a $350 deal.

    Well, after weeks and weeks, the original cables come back to him, so he sends me those. Except he sent me a power brick and an RF ADAPTER, not the original component cables the system came with. Great. So I e-mail him and ask him what's up. No response. I have to spend more money to get my own compenent cable off eBay.

    Now I'm at $420 for the total purchase.



    Today, after many, many attempts to contact him, he still has not sent me the wheel/pedals as promised.

    So, in the end, I paid $70 more than the original price he quoted me, and I did not receive a $100 accessory that he said was in the package.

    Bulls***. Here I thought Clutchfans was better than this.

    Just goes to show: only trust veteran posters.

    I wouldn't rat on kof40, he apologized, admitted he was wrong and gave tixs to lost_elephant to a game last year, its just a memorable thread that's going to haunt him
