http://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en-US/features.html Just installed it today, beta version so still needs tweaks but overall very fast and smooth browser. Everything Google touches these days is gold! Youtube, Gmail, Earth etc... Can you say nail in the coffin for IE? Firefox is immune cause people will support it no matter what.
WTF, THERE'S ALREADY TWO THREADS ON THIS IN THE LAST 2 MINUTES!! IBTL. "Google Releasing their own web browser" It's not even a page back..
I really really wanted to, lol. I wonder if Bearpaws (Clutch) or the mods would temp ban me for starting a third thread? That was really the only thing holding me back
Firefox is still my main browser, but when I use GC i'm fairly impressed. What do ya'll think of it after using it a few months ?
I don't think he'd ban you for starting a third thread, but he WOULD ban you for that terrible nickname.
I've been using Chrome exclusively. My firefox has been taking atleast 30 seconds to load up and open no matter what version I install.
using chrome at work, and its really good, only con is the lack of middle mouse scroll up and down firefox for home use
Vice versa. I like Chrome a lot. It's fast as lightening. What do you mean lack of middle mouse scroll up and down? Mine does.
I'm the same way. Chrome is very convenient for what I use it for at work. Firefox works great for what I do at home. I can scroll up and down with my mouse on Chrome though.
do highlight videos at nba.com work with chrome? that was my only gripe, it wouldnt play nba.com videos back when i used it
I have a very old laptop, about 6.5 years old. Pentium 4 1.6ghz 768MB ram. Chrome is the fastest browser I've used, I use it exclusively now. Upon opening, it loads as fast as Wordpad. Switching between tabs, youtube and flash performance is fast, everything is snappy. My comp is old enough that switching tabs in FF can actually take a couple of seconds. Chrome is immediate and responsive. At first, Chrome's flash performance was awful on my comp. But they fixed it with an update in like a week or two. The only annoyance is that text size resumes to default when I close and restart, whereas FF remembers my preferred text size for each site. And of course, I miss adblock plus on FF. THANK GOD for the browser wars. We actually have companies competing hard in actual browser performance, compliance, javascript speed, etc. This escalation has actually breathed new life into my old lappie.
