At least he'll have a shot at the postseason. One of the best right there, too bad he had all those injuries. I believe had he not been injured, people wouldn't have to worry about the home run records being tainted if you know what I mean.

Good for him. I suspect that he'll As much as I hate what the DH rule has done to the game, it is nice to see some of the good guys get a few extra years because of it.

That's a good move by the Reds, send him to a contender where he can have his shot at a ring.

^ Agreed...Nothing wrong with wanting to play for your hometown, but it was never a good place for Griffey from Day 1...

The Reds sucked before he got here and never got any better. I hope he does make it to the WS. He deserves a shot before he retires.

finally...i was getting sick of JR...sorry but his whole time in cincy has been sad to watch and as of late you could tell he just didnt care anymore. not sure if you guys heard about it..but appearantly jeff brantley former reds pitcher who now does tv/radio broadcasts for the reds was ripping griffey for not hustling to a fly ball that he should have caught. griffey the next game hit a HR and i guess made some cut throat gesture towards the booth.

for being a future HOF you would think he wouldnt act that way..but who knows...

Stupid move by the Reds. They're only 13.5 games out; the division is right there for the taking.

I have always liked Griffey. One of my favorite players of all time.

If he had stayed healthy he would have destroyed the HR record at the pace he was on..

2 full seasons out of the 9 he was in Cincinnati really cost him. he's going to be a really good DH for them later on in his career.
