Its a clear foul for me, but it was before the 3 pt shoot.
They called fouls tonight with much less contact then that.

Fisher went straight up & down, then Barry deliberately turned into Fish with his shoulder and dribbled moving forward into him. From my perspective Fish's feet had replanted, he didn't move his feet. If anything it was an offensive foul.

Hard for me to call anything in favor of cheaters.

:D

Not sure what the previous poster is talking about, I see no contact before the shot, only after.

It was a clear foul, however, his attempt to avoid contact made the ref swallow his whistle. Brent should have jumped into Fisher.

He would have gotten 3 free throws.

As much as I hate the Spurs, I just can't help but like brent barry. Seems like a cool dude.

Tough call for the refs on that shot.. however if I were J.Crawford, I would've called a foul, then a double technical foul for both teams for complaining, then as soon as Duncan takes a step closer and opens his mouth, I'd eject him from the game.. just because I've done it before and doing it again would be hilarious.

:D

Foul with two shots. Then I would pray that Barry missed one of them :D

The foul was obvious after the replay. It looked like Fisher elbowed Barry in the shoulder, but Barry wasn't in the act of shooting. Were they in the penalty though? The Spurs should've either been given two free throws or inbounded the ball again.

No way. You don't allow the game to be decided by a foul like that. He was 30 feet away from the basket.

But a foul is a foul no matter whether it is 30 or 80 feet away from the basket. Fisher was falling onto him and that was a clear foul. He should have gotten 2 fts, or reinbound the ball if the lakers were not over the limit. Hate to see a game ended this way. If the refs do not call this type of fouls at the end of the games, then every team would foul under such circumstances.

The Spurs should'nt have even gotten the last opportunity....Fisher's shot grazed the rim and went off Horry's legs. Why wasn't the shot clock reset?

Also, it wasn't rough contact where Fisher was giving a blantant push, shove or trip. Fish jumped up...doesn't he have the right to come back down on to his space? Barry Slided into him to draw contact on the dribble and the contact wasn't that rough at all. They're not gonna call soft fouls like that to decide games. Heck even Pop admitted after the game that if he was ref he wouldn't have called that a foul.

Disagree. That wasn't a clear cut foul at the time. Barry wouldn't have made that shot even if he was open. Screw Barry. Screw Bowen and that flopping bastard Ginobili.

I have to agree with Kenny and Reggie on TNT. Barry has to really sell that foul. He had fisher in the air but he didn't take advantage of it. The Refs don't want to decide the outcome of the game unless it is an obvious hack. At the end of a playoff game ticky tack fouls can't be called. Once fisher made contact with barry, Brent tried to take an extra dribble to create space and that was his mistake. He shoulda pulled a Tmac and just jumped into fisher than he would give the refs no chance but to call a foul.

I agree with Brent Barry and Popovich in the ESPN article:

"That's not going to get called in the Western Conference finals," Barry said. "Maybe in the regular season. But that call shouldn't be called in the Western Conference finals."

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said: "If I was the official I wouldn't have called that a foul."

end of story

Foul, but good no call.

Because it was the Spurs.

Foul, but good no call because it wasn't deserving of one. The contact wasn't enough to warrant one IMO. It wouldn't have made a difference irrespective of the team IMO unless it was on Kobe or maybe Duncan. Barry is no superstar.
I'm no Laker fan believe me.Neither do I like the Spurs but they are a bit more tolerable than the Lakers in my eyes.

I've only seen one replay, but did Barry travel because it looked like he switched his pivot at the end? I might be wrong.

I said no foul. However, in the interest of full disclosure - I did not watch the game and I don't care if there was a foul or not. I would not have called it because I hate the Spurs. :D

Seems like end of story to me.
