Back in 1998 my sister bought me off eBay a Kobe Bryant signed basketball with COA. Whats special about it is, he signed it his senior year in Highschool after offcially announcing his entry into the NBA draft. He signed it "Kobe Bryant 8", and in his rookie year he began signing his autograph as "Kobe 8". Im wondering how much this sucker would be worth. At the time, my sister paid $150 for it.

Never buy an autograph off of ebay unless it has a holgorm from Upper Deck, Authenticated (Kobe's autograph agent), Mounted Memories, Steiner or PSA/DNA or GAI. 99% of autographs are fake on ebay. A COA is worthless. Anyone can print out a COA and say something is real.

It's worth as much as some idiot on eBay would pay for it.

True. I have a Hakeem autographed ball with a COA. Luckily I have a picture of him signing it with my aunt in the pic too.

Haha. My friend made a killing in high school buying basketballs, signing Kobe's name(or whoever) and selling them on ebay with a COA. He cought some off-colored stock paper (fancy stuff) and would make the certificate in Word.

I think it's weird when people buy autographs. It seems like the point of an sig is to prove you met the person/capture a memory or something.

I don't know why people like autographed stuff so much. They're just people!

I've got a Topps mini helmet signed by Michael Vick. It's pretty rare... and now completely worthless. :(

im not sure if you spelled it like that on purpose but if you did, then you probably avoided some harassment from the board. congrats
