… don't inflict another Republican president on the world. The legacy or your past Rep. presidents is frightening. Tricky Dick Nixon; Iran-Contra and "I'd like to announce the extermination of the evil empire" Ronald Regan; and "Scud Stud" George Sr., did nothing but seriously damage your reputation internationally and, frankly, frighten us. Now you could be electing a man who would execute borderline mentally handicapped people, people whose lawyers sleep during their trials, and citizens of foreign countries whose country and families were not been properly notified. Now he could have control of the US armed forces!! FRIGHTENING!!

Every recount they've done in Florida has increased the vote for Gore … coincidence? What's your bet on what the results of hand recounts? Even the Republicans, by their somewhat paranoid attempts to stop the process, are admitting that Gore will pick up a significant number of votes. Huge, HUGE voting errors taking thousands of votes away from Gore, at least 2,000 that went to Buchanan in one county and perhaps another 7000 to 8000 in spoiled ballots discovered today in Duval County. I don't think that any reasonable person could question that if THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE were honoured, Gore would be declared president. Good people of America, don't give up the fight! The rest of the world is pulling for you!

You know, you people on this board have really challenged my stereo type of Americans. When I first stumbled across this site I expected to see conversations like Clem365 talking to Clem847 about how many times they had cleaned their Walkers today. But I found nothing of the sort. The intelligence and the wit displayed on this board has been nothing less than amazing and a real eye opener for me. I'd like to amend my previous post and add that this board, as a whole, has done nothing but increase the reputation of Americans internationally and ease our fears. So what's with this George W. thing? How could he gain favour in a fine state like yours?
