I was watching Anger Management today got me to thinking How do you handle Anger? I suppress it and try to master it. Try not to let it get too high . . . .I use to have a hair trigger temper but I have for the most part gotten away from that Rocket River
I just bottle it all up into a little place in my mind and set it aside. (tick.... tick.... tick....)
Depends what type of anger. If its ass kicking anger than I abuse a punching bag till I get sore. If it's relationship anger then I pray trying to not reading into what is not there, but more importantly don't let other people effect how I want to feel, which is universally good.
I repress and internalize. You know, I actually saw that movie in a Defensive Driving class. Kinda insightful given the context, but no way worth 85 bucks for the viewing...
I usually sing this song: Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings These are a few of my favorite things Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things When the dog bites When the bee stings When I'm feeling sad I simply remember my favorite things And then I don't feel so bad Or maybe I'll just kick a puppy or something.
