The dealbreaker (or one of them) appears to be the inclusion of Aaron Brooks in the deal.

I watched it as well. I don't know whether we should give up Brooks.

Rockets won't give up Brooks for Artest so it's not even a rumor worth reporting.

Brooks still an undersized PG, we need a 3rd scorer if we want to win now than wait for Brooks to deveop which is a few years away.

Not that big of a deal breaker if we can get this guy and have him sign nxt year.

In fact, if we had Artest, we wouldn't need Battier anymore. Maybe we could trade him for A. Miller.

Well, I don't really like the move, but appreciate them trying something I suppose.

I'd give up Brooks if Artest signed a reasonable extension.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? thats not a deal breaker thats a DO THE TRADE NOW!

If all they want is Brooks + someone like James, OMG GET ON THAT, then turn around trade some expirings get Andre Miller.

    Then:

    Miller/Batman/Tmac/Artest/Yao <-- Starting 5 OMG.

    Imagine our bench also:
Alston/Scola/Landry/Deke/Novak (if he is left after all this)

    Damn....

Maybe Battier would be headed to the Kings though...

I thought Morey had more sense than to bring in a guy who has made a career out of destroying everything he touches.

Scola is good enough! we don't need a bad azz Artest. We just need Andrew Miller.

has artest done anything stupid this year (besides asking for a trade if you want to count that)?
