I heard of the band before but I never paid attention to their other songs other than free falling.

I already bought a CD from bestbuy. I liked their perfromance during the SuperBwol.

Who else ...

The band has been a pretty big success for a few decades now. Glad you've found an interest in them though.

I don't know why so many people are criticizing the half time show. I thought it was great.

I already had a CD from them.

Their Greatest Hits one, I think.

Too bad they couldn't play either of their two best songs because of the drug references.

rock8ts...I'm glad you finally caught on to one of the best rock-n-roll artists in the last 30 years. There aren't many singer/songwriters like Tom Petty.

It was my favorite halftime show ever.

Not to derail the thread too much but I watched House for the first time yesterday after the Super Bowl and I caught the episode tonight. I plan on immediately buying the DVD's. How come nobody told me about this show?

Gotta give Tom Petty props. His band put on a great show.

I still think "Full Moon Fever" (Free Fallin', Won't Back Down, Runnin Down a Dream, Feel a Whole Lot Better) is one of the great rock albums.

If you are new to Tom Petty, I suggest "Into the Great Wide Open" and "Full Moon Fever"

My two favorites. I thought he put on a good show. Then again, I used to be a big fan

Not even close. Just because you make a reference to pot doesn't make it a "good" song. They're both OK, just not my favorites.

Here's some good ones, however:

Learning to Fly

Don't Come Around Here No More

And a great video with Johnny Depp: Into the Great Wide Open
