Besides us and the Magic, what the hell was going on with the top tier teams in the NBA tonight? Not that I'm complaining or anything. Anybody with League Pass see any of these upsets?

Maybe the Rockets should have lost tonight. All the cool kids were doing it! I guess we'll just have to settle for gaining a game on everyone ahead of us in the standings.

    Yeah !

    Seen other games briefly...

    Kings were playing great !

Caron butler and Nick young torched the Mavs ! Terry stunk it up and barely hit one shot.

Nice to see Udrih pop off on his former team. Every time I used to see a Spurs game Udrih was Popovich's personal whipping boy.

Jazz/Knicks: I saw most of the 2nd half. The Knicks led pretty much the whole way but they started choking at the end and the game was right there for the Jazz, who also started choking and throwing the ball away. Boozer was unstoppable but foul trouble slowed him down. This game was not well played at the end. The Jazz should have won.

T-Wolves/Hornets: The parts that I saw Minny just couldn't miss. They went up by 21-22 points in the 1st half! Marco Jaric shot the ball very well and the Hornets were very uninspired. Their home crowd hardly made any noise. It must be tough for the Hornets to play in hostile arenas on the road and go home to silence. I thought this game would be a repeat of the Mavs/Grizzlies but the Hornets didn't have enough pep in their step. Chris Paul was the only guy who seemed to care.

Wizards/Mavs: Only saw a brief part of the 3rd quarter and I've never seen the Mavs more lackadaisical. Even AJ didn't get that excited. I also saw the very end of the game and part of the post-game show and the crowd and announcers were almost in disbelief the Mavs lost to an E.C. team at home. I guess that didn't happen one time last season.

Suns/Warriors: In the 4th quarter, Monta Ellis scored about 10 straight points a variety of ways. The Suns had no idea what to do with him. BD was great, of course; the Suns even put Shawn Marion on him. On offense, Phoenix was off and missed a lot of easy baskets that could have closed the gap. It just wasn't their day. Golden State is the kind of team that can rip the Suns when they don't play defense. I would ask D'Antoni: How many jumpers does a team need to make before you tell your team to guard them? I think the Suns assume that the more possessions there are in a game, the more likely they are to win, so they try and bait the other team into shooting early in the clock.

Regretfully, I didn't see any of the Spurs/Kings.

From the games I watched, every upset was because the "better" team didn't play with enough passion to stop the other team, except for the Jazz who lost because they didn't take care of the ball at the end. They really should have beaten the Knicks.

Funny thing is, this probably should have been their 5th loss in a row.

well juwan was getting some key minutes there in the middle. All the Wizards fans i know were jumping for joy as he shot and missed J's..

The Wiz have actually been scoring a ton since Arenas has gone out. Butler and Jamison have been really hot, but Daniels does a good job running that team. And Stevenson hits some TOUGH shots (though he shot a pretty poor percentage last night)

But that game was really about the Wiz shooting it really well in the 1st and especially 3rd. And the Mavs being ice cold, especially in the 4th

saw dallas, sa, phoenix, utah lose on lp.

dallas seems to be coasting hard IMO. they looked alot like they did in the first 3 quarters in houston: standing around and shooting jumpers. dirk has yet to make a statement, yesterday was no exception. the wiz shot really well, and are probably the only team i saw that 'won' (as opposed to the top team losing). nick young was aggressive and looked strong attacking the rim. antonio daniels waited just until i told my roommate that he was trash to show me that he still has an explosive (maybe not quite EXPLOSIVE, but def at least quick) first step and good court vision. how can the wiz possibly look better without GA??

the mavs i think don't care about winning a gazillion games this season.

i mean they only lost 15 games last year..and still lost the first round.

they are probably trying to stay low..and start getting serious towards april.

you can't just turn it on in April. Those floppers aren't winning because they aren't as good as they were a year ago.

This night screwed me and my friends because we all basically parlayed the same times and we got screwed.

I bet on the Jazz, Magic, Spurs, Wizards and Suns and right off the bat, the Jazz f*cked it all up by losing to the Knicks!

Even more reason to hate the Jazz now, not that I needed anymore reason though.

he may be the leading candidate for most improved player this year. he's proving htat on a crappy team he can be a pretty decent player.
