Ok its time already. Ive patiently watched. Ive noted just about everything possible a fan could. You can look at Rafer all game long with Coke Glasses, and it won't get any rosier.

This Team sits at 6-2. Same Record as last year at this point. With the Same starting 5. Newsflash, Rick. We tried this last year and it did NOT work out. I refuse to watch the most talented (not best) Rockets Team assembled wasted away because you have a butt nugget over Steve Francis.

There is NO way on this planet Steve can not outplay Rafer Alston at this point. There is no way Steve would stand around an pound the ball while TMac and Yao looked on. Even if he did, you would just pull him anyhow. And I would allow my testicles to rot if he couldn't outplay (even as a system player) a Struggling Luther Head. I have pointed out before, that it looks terrible that you are willing to put up with Scola looking like crap, but not give Steve a chance. Now Head/Rafer have looked like the worst two guards in the NBA and he can't get one minute? This team has looked Terrible the last Two, and has looked overall sluggish and bad since losing to the Dallas team. We did beat the Spurs, but the spurs played horribly that night.

Its time to man up Rick. I watched a stubborn JVG last year destroy our chances at making a nice run in the playoffs. I refuse to watch you take Jeffs team, allow your buddy Bonzi to play and think that and Mike James is going to carry this rocket team. Alston/Chuck/Battier are NOT...LET ME SAY THIS again...are NOT enough on offense to keep us in games. Its why we can't distance ourselves from teams, why we can't finish teams off, why we can't blow anyone out. Those three on O = trifecta of death. We can live with Battier and Chuck because they play the other side of the ball so damn well. Because they hustle, don't make boneheaded decisions and play within themselves. Rafer does none of this, and sucks on both sides of the ball.

We have a nice four game roundup coming in which we play the Lakers, Mavs, Spurs, and Suns the next four games. The way this team has regressed over the last 4 games, they could very well lose all 3-4 of those games.

I will hold Rick Adelman responsible if he continues to be so stubborn and cost the Rox yet another year of unfulfilled expectations.

I'm thinking we should keep the current rotation past these next 4 games, and if they can't make the proper adjustments, retool the rotation roster to include Steview.

Psst...Dreamshake...Jeff Van Gundy and Rick Adelman have nose hairs that know more about basketball than you do. Sorry to be blunt, but it's not as if you see them in practice ever, or know what's going on with the team. Steve Francis is pulling a Bonzi Wells. You don't reward punks with playing time until they earn it and buy in to the team concept.

I won't blame Adelman. I think JVG could get more out of this roster, but the players play. I'm sad our defense looks lost at times, and I'm also sad at the number of turnovers and stupid plays we make. I'm with you though. Francis should be starting, and Scola too. Bring Alston as backup pg, put James at backup 2/3, bonzi at backup 3/4, and hayes at backup 4/5.

with so much "we want steve" threads goin around, i havent found anything as to whether steve is actually working or not during practices and etc.

I don't believe he's just sitting there doing nothing because I know he's itching to play. I don't know. I mean if he's just doing nothing in practice and not trying hard, then I guess I see why Adelman doesn't like him very much.

i guess it could go both ways, but, god bless the ignore list.

    and,

    rafer had 5 TOs tonight
    inexusable!!!

how? EVERY rafer attempted 3 is a guaranteed TO

play steve francis. its straight up dumb. look at him. look at his recent practice pictures. look at how he jumped eleventy feet in the air during the preseason while he was "still working his way into shape"

Rick sees Steve in practice every week, and guess what, he IS worse than Rafer.

    Steve sucks.

If this team is going to improve, it will not be by playing Steve.

This is where you have it wrong. Francis is NOT a punk. He did not tell Adelman "I'm playing 0 so I'll give you my 0 in practice", unlike Bonzi who said "I'm getting paid 1/4 my value, so I'll give you 1/4 the effort". Bonzi quit on the team, 3 times. He was seen at strip clubs, golf courses, House of Pies, and Burger King during home games and road trips. The guy was not a professional at all. He was supposedly laughing on his cell after a tough loss to San Antonio last year in November. Bonzi was an idiot.

Francis on the other hand has done everything he's been told. Sure, he may have come to camp out of shape, but he's back in shape now, unlike Bonzi, who never got in shape. Francis had to take care of a newborn kid, plus he recently got married, and he was recovering from injury. I don't blame him to coming into camp out of shape. That's what camp is for, so people can train for the season. Francis hasn't been a cancer, so why not give the guy a chance? He built the damn Toyota Center!

They don't practice much during the regular season.....hardly at all.

And Francis IS NOT in shape now....did you guys even read Clutch's post about the Rockets asking Steve to do some extra stuff to get ready and he basically blew it off?

Steve is BLOWING it right now, with the way the PGs are playing if he would just realize that he needs to GROW THE **** UP...he could get in the game.

Even though "666" is in your thread count (scary, post again quick), I agree. If not Francis, how about a cameo from Brooks, the ball boy, somebody. How about a little Landry. Don't even change the rotation. Go ahead and start Alston. Just give the "glued to the bench" players a minute or two. Just try. Aren't you curious?

No. Playing a guy for 2 minutes is pointless.

It's weird that there is a player every season everyone wants to play and that play can't. Either because of coaching or performance reason.

I think Steve will be on the court tomorrow. This is his chance. At home against the lakers. Him Tracy and Yao doing damage together.

It's going to be the start of a beautiful thing.
