Since Yi isn't a bust, will he start ahead of KG and Lebron at the ASG? Unless the NBA disregards online votes from China, its quite probable that Yi will be voted in as a starter like Yao, who started ahead of Shaq.
Nah. People overestimate impact of the chinese online votes. People keep saying Yao started over Shaq cus of online votes. That was false since Shaq beat Yao in online voting and Yao beat Shaq in voting at games. It'll be lebron and garnett unless something crazy happens.
I didnt understand what you just said, so your saying Shane Battier getting more votes than Marion last year and Yao as a rookie being selected in front of the MDE had NOTHING to do with China?
Would it not be too early to label him as not a bust? We're not even 10 games into an 82 game season.
Didn't David Wesley have more votes than Ray Allen a few years ago? I know it was something crazy like that, don't know if Ray was the guy but I know for a fact Wesley had a ton of votes.
Chinese votes can help Yi beat some not-so-famous stars, but not the like of KG, Lebron, etc. They have huge fan base in China too. Some of posters need to refresh their memory. I lose count of how many times clutchfans posted that Shaq won online votes, but lost in paper votes to Yao in 2003.
Yi will be in the All-Star rookie game this year for sure. He's front-running candidate for ROY. If he keeps this up, he'll be shoe in for All-Star next season.
should be pretty interesting to see how many votes he gets. It's a good measure of how strong the chinese vote actually is.
Ain't no player that announcers don't know how to pronounce is going to play in no stinkin all-star game.
Exactly, but your average American fans won't understand that. All they know is that OMG China has 1.3 billion people!~!@!(*UU! THEY STEAl! OUR JORBBS!!! Ops in this case, DEY STEAR EER ALLSTARZ SPOT!!! You're trying too hard
