We've done this before but it's been a while.

What are your favorite and/or must-have Firefox extensions? Feel free to add any other favorite Firefox helpers (Greasemonkey scripts, themes, etc.)

Here are a couple of Firefox extensions I find useful:

    - Location Bar. This link bolds the domain name (making it easier to spot fake sites) and makes every portion of the URL in the location bar "clickable."

    - Tiny Menu. Pretty straightforward. Removes the menu bar and puts the entire menu in a singe "Menu" button.

    I'll be adding more soon.

Never heard of Location Bar ... I'm definitely going to give it a whirl. I nearly fell victim to a fake Myspace login page once - the only thing that saved me was the Myspace toolbar extension which I rely on for automatic login. Since that day I've always looked carefully at the location bar whenever I'm presented with an unexpected login page.

My favorites are Tiny Menu (combined with the IE7 skin, awesome). Showcase is nice, and Gmail manager, All-in-one Gestures and ABP are indispensable (I really wish they'd just make mouse gestures a built-in feature).

Oh also ... DownThemAll! is an excellent download accelerator/manager.

I'm at work so im not going to recall the exact names but

Ebay notifier - little pop-ups when acutions are ending and an open pane with the items that you are currently watching.

Gmail notifier was cool untill it quit working for me.

Weather bug thingy that gives current condition and extened forecast onthe bottom bar.

I also like the dark space shuttle theme/skin.

Get Gmail Manager instead. It's much better than notifier, and it shows you a little popup snippet when you mouse over it so you can see who that new email is from without ever having to open Gmail.

Flash block allows you to prevent flash animations on a site. I personally find that most sites go way too heavy on flash animations. With it installed, I just click on the flashes I want to see, otherwise they're not shown. More info here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433

Adblock Plus + FasterFox should fix your problem.

I would also probably recommend getting NoScript - would help blocking ad server scripts that cause some pages to load slowly, although personally I find NoScript sometimes to be more of a hassle than a beneficial tool.

AGAIN?!?!? We've done about 3 of these "favorite extensions" threads  ... I am sick and tired of this... I refuse to answer...

WEBDEVELOPER - all the useful tools to know what's on a page and where your XHTML and CSS is erroneous in one toolbar. That's the only one you need.
