On his show on 1560, Richard Justice mentioned something about Franchione possibly agreeing to buyout today. Anyone heard anything?

ESPN News just reported that a buyout has been reached after working on one for 10 days. However he isn't out until the end of the season. Supposedly around 2 million. A&M has hired a coach headhunter. Tommy Tuberville is the first choice.

Mizzou -17 vs. A&M and a lameduck coach this weekend. That might be the easiest line in the history of college football.

A devastating loss for longhorn fans everywhere.

Now, what about Callahan at Nebraska?

If you look at the things Tubberville has been saying the past month all signs clearly point to him coveting the TAMU job, whether Auburn fires him or not. I have mixed emotions about him. But I guess you can't argue with an undefeated season. Especially in the SEC. He wins big games like few others something Fran has yet to do in College Station.

Why would anyone want to leave a mid-tier SEC school for a mid-to-bottom-tier Big XII school again?

Because Tubberville has coached at both schools and knows a whole hell of a lot better what a top job is than the majority of this BBS. And no TAMU isn't Auburn level. But he has history here, the money is good, and he knows the potential that the program holds. Unlike you.

Remember Fran pulled pretty much the same exact thing.

    NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Tubberville is a pipe dream. 6 million dollar buyout plus Auburn has to grant A&M permission for any talks with him or his agent.

I'll save you aggies some heartbreak and Malox. This is what is going to happen. All Div-1 grade A coaches will use you as leverage to get a raise at thier current jobs or more cash from thier dream jobs. Your gonna hear Shiano, Rodriguez, Tredford all make statement regarding your school, which in turn will get all little aggies excited and happy. Dillusional false hope I say. Your then going to see all the grade A and B coaches take jobs elsewhere and your school will left standing at the alter. Very unfortunate.

In the end your going to hire some up and coming assistant coach in the hopes of catching lightning in a bottle. Like OU did with Stoopsie.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will laugh at how every coach used you like a cheap hooker.

    You can thank me know.

Very good question and it was the same exact one I found myself asking when Franchione left Alabama.
