What accent does Mike James have?? It's an odd one.

I've also realized that Battier is in every team interview. That guy just knows what to say. He says everything that we want to hear.

Would it be possible for Mike James to use more clichés in one interview than he did there?

No way. No senator will do all the dirty job for the team (city) and care less about showing all the goods (stats).... ;)

"I mean, the cream always rises to the top, but you know, what doesn't kill you will only you make you stronger."

Father James doing his thing, it was quite funny!

Forget Obama, Battier is gonna be the first black president! Book it! That guys is so articulate and positive.

"well we didn't find the wmd's but basically our soldiers are out there doing what they're supposed to do, ya know.. go out and just try to have fun."

Rockets should utilize Scola's pick and roll unstoppable lay up skills. A lot of time they're not looking for him. Scola doing pick and roll is better than Yao. Yao use his big body to shield which is very good...but rolling is very slow. However, Scola pick and roll is extremely fluid and should be a weapon that RA should take advantage of that. I wanna to see Scola doing pick and roll with Tmac iam sure he can get a lot of easy layups....i have no doubt about it!!!

Good point. Scola is a better fit than Yao --- so far.
I actually expect Yao to play less minutes in the first 3 qtr. instead of tiring him out, I'd rather go for Yao with brute force in the 4th qtr.

Yes, he will lose the elections to Kobe, Battier will talk about how he care and what he be willing to sacrifice for the common goal, and Kobe will say "I score 81pts in a game" and he will win the election.

u may find that kind of p&r fluidity in virtually every EU team, if they want they could play p&r all game long. Scola is definitely a better fit than Yao is under RA's syestem. i'd rather see Yao go to the low post more to dominate the paint in the 4th qtr, like he did during the JVG era.

Interesting comments from RA, regarding having a comfortable enough lead so that he could "see how things play out." I guess it means that he would have told Yao more explicitly about adjustments on D or pull Yao altogether but decided to try and let Yao figure it out by himself given that the lead is going well. He probably also refrained from making offensive adjustments as the offense got stagnant because he wanted the guys to practice getting the new offense down. You'd think he would have called more set plays than he did had the lead been 2 points instead of 10+.

Actually, I liked everything James had to say. Except for the part about how this offense looks bad when guys aren't knocking down shots. It can't possibly look as bad as LAST year's offense when guys weren't knocking down shots.

Battier mentioned pretty much everyone on the team except Steve Francis...

He had a run where he busted out 4 or 5 cliches in a row. The crazy thing is that it worked.
