I'm curious too. I hope it's Scola. I don't think we should have 2 players that are offensive liabilites in our starting lineup.

it would be counter productive to start the same lineup you ended last season with. rafer and especially hayes are scoring liabilities. at least rafer is a decent point guard, but hayes is just offensively challenged.

long story short, having two guys who don't shoot well is straining the other starters. at first i would argue that scola coming off the bench with bonzi and james makes a strong second squad but the starters need some help on the offensive end.

Nobody knows. I would think it will be Hayes at the beginning of the season

I like the idea of bringing Scola off the bench. TMac likes getting easy buckets for Chuck, so why not start off with both of them on the floor together.

Plus, with Scola, MJ, and Bonzi coming off the bench, they will be playing against opponents 2nd teamers which can only help us. All 3 of those guys bring energy, which is exactly what you want from your bench brigade.

I'm leaning to Scola starting. His passsing will make it easier for Yao and Tmac.

True that but Hayes has also shown that he can pass the ball too, he handed out couple of nice assists at the pre-season.

last year our starters allways outscored the opponents. the bench came in and gave away points.

this year, we need to keep scola on the bench to help out the second team.

with our starters outscoring the opponents again, our bench of james, bonzi and scola (and to a lesser extent, luther & deke) will definitely keep the momentum going for the rockets.

Why would Hayes start? He has not shown to be better than Scola in the pre-season.
We have to start the game playing 5 against 5. Whenever Hayes is on the game teams immediately double team Yao and leave Hayes wide open because they know he sucks offensively.

Who started the San Antonio game? I would think it is the smae lineup as that.

If you think Scola is your answer at PF, got to start building chemistry now, can't do it from the bench.

Because that starting 5 failed miserably when it mattered most.

There is a reason that so many other players were brought in.....

Got to get the chemistry going during the regular season for the playoffs.

Scola is SOOOO much better than Hayes it is not even funny.

I STILL say Hayes. And y'all can STILL noose me up for it.

Hayes ran a similar offense at Kentucky, he is experienced guarding the Boozers and Duncans of the West, and we already have more than enough firepower in the starting 5. Let Scola and Wells bring the heat and spark off the bench.
