You know what I'm talking about. There will be a thread about whatever topic, and someone remembers a song with lyrics that may be somewhat related to the topic, and they post them. Does anyone actually sit there and read the lyrics? I ALWAYS just move right past the post. It's almost like posting "in before the lock." It's completely useless. I could be really interested in a thread and reading the posts, and then BAM! 30 lines of lyrics that serve absolutely no purpose and totally make me lose interest. I'm guessing I'm not alone in this. Almost every time someone posts a song like this, it gets ignored because everyone else thinks it is pointless just like I do. Post #12 in THIS thread is a perfect example (sorry basso.) Stop the madness.
I think its ok if you only are posting 3-4 lines of a song, but yeah I dont like those people who post the whole song lyrics.
wow, I never knew those were lyrics to a song. I thought these people were just writing in cryptic poetry form.
Best thing to do is google what you recall. I just did that recently, and it makes you look less like a tool. My google last time was "care about the old folks". Came up immediately. People tend to be lazy on here.
I'm saying that if are aware of an even small part of the lyrical content of the song you are looking for, you can input it on google with lyrics, and you should typically get what the song is.
I tend to turn on that song since most likely I'll have it, and then sing along to the written lyrics.
You remind me of.. Can you tell me How can one miss what she's never had How could I reminisce when there is no past How could I have memories of being happy with you boy Could someone tell me how can this be How could my mind pull up incidents Recall dates and times that never happened How could we celebrate a love that's to late And how could I really mean the words I'm bout to say
Basso's lyrics are from the Jackson Browne song "Before the Deluge" which are appropriate for that particular thread.
This thread is just as worthless as when people post lyrics to a song in other threads. Seriously, I don't think its that bad that it warrants a thread just to itself. Not even a rant thread. I don't get how music lyrics make you lose interest in a thread. You do know you can easily just skip pass it like it's not even there. Yeah, it's that simple. But with that said: There's a natural mystic blowing through the air; If you listen carefully now you will hear. This could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last: Many more will have to suffer, Many more will have to die - don't ask me why. Things are not the way they used to be, I won't tell no lie; One and all have to face reality now. 'Though I've tried to find the answer to all the questions they ask. 'Though I know it's impossible to go livin' through the past - Don't tell no lie. There's a natural mystic blowing through the air - Can't keep them down - If you listen carefully now you will hear. There's a natural mystic blowing through the air. This could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last: Many more will have to suffer, Many more will have to die - don't ask me why. There's a natural mystic blowing through the air - I won't tell no lie; If you listen carefully now you will hear: There's a natural mystic blowing through the air. Such a natural mystic blowing through the air; There's a natural mystic blowing through the air; Such a natural mystic blowing through the air; Such a natural mystic blowing through the air; Such a natural mystic blowing through the air.
I see what I do, first look at the phone Turn on your TV Unscrew a bottle of beer, An orange square cellophane cheese First I think of this, and then I turn to that Maybe I just don't think Might sing to this, I might sing to that If I could only sing Now, as you can see This clearly isn't me I'm not alone, I'm just blue I'm not alone There was a day when I was alone A few sane days ago There was a love I've been living with That I lost on the way home First I thought of this And then I turn to that And then I turn a little bit scared Well, I feel a little bit easier Knowing that you're here Now, as you can see This clearly isn't me I'm not alone, I'm just blue I'm not alone First I think of this Then I turn to that Then I turn a little scared I feel a little easier now Knowing that you're all here Now, as you can see This clearly isn't me I'm not alone, I'm just blue I'm not alone
I knew this is the direction this thread would go, but I just couldn't help myself. Oh and for the record you guys posting lyrics in this thread. I haven't read any of them, and neither has anyone else. We-don't-care.
