Sorry for creating a thread about this but i would like to place all the injuries and its updates on a single thread so i will know who is ready to suit up on sunday afternoons.

    So Far,

Andre Johnson: Johnson will probably come out of the immobilizer within the next two days, at which point the star receiver will be evaluated on a daily basis. Doubtful against Falcons.

Jacoby Jones: Rookie out with the separated shoulder. Its a week to week thing. Hoping for a two week process but might be more.

Steve Mckinney: Out for the season, torn ACL. Mike Flanagan will replace him.

Ahman Green: considered day-to-day after an MRI revealed no damage to his bruised left knee. Doubtful against Atlanta.

Cedric Killings: steady recovery. No chance of playing this season.

Players that are coming back or are being activated:

Ron Dayne: will play against ATLANTA.

Andre Davis, Harry williams (from practice squad), Bethel Johnson, Keenan McCardell or David Anderson( resigning). they all will be activated against Falcons.

Agreed. He looks the most likely to emerge as our second go to guy once AJ is back on the field again. He made an amazing catch their at the end of the 3rd Qtr didn't he?

Once Jacoby Jones and AJ are both back, Andre Davis will most likely disappear from the radar.

i hate to be a Debby Downer, but **** man, i think this is gonna ruin an otherwise fantastic season.

    star receiver
    star punt returner
    our best offensive linemen
    star running back

    all out. **** **** **** **** ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
before, i could see us winning one against Indy. i could make a case for us sweeping the Titans and Jags. not now.

i realize all these guys will come back, but it's such a major setback. i think AJ's injury is gonna cost him an extra 2 weeks from it healing ot get to full strength. JJ's shoulder will require a good amount of time before he gets full range of motion. the more i think about it, the more depressed i get. :(

It's definitely cause for worry...but when I watched that Colts game I noticed a change...in past seasons the team would've folded and lost by twenty and still look for some silver lining...this past Sunday the team lost by 6 and refused to accept that as a moral victory considering all the injuries...Dayne should hopefully be back this week and Green possibly this week or next...AJ a few more weeks...same w/ Jacoby...Mathis ran back the kickoff for a touchdown on sunday so we still got a good punt returner...Andre Davis could provide some help in the receiving corp...and we still got Schaub manning the offense...and even though he threw a few costly interceptions Sunday, he did step it up when the game was winding down.

Andre Davis played well..hopefully can continue to play well until AJ gets back

heres to another Jerome Mathis "take it to the house" return this Sunday against the Falcons..

Luckily, the next two opponents are Atlanta and Miami.

If we had to lose some of our best players to injury, this is the time to do it. Hopefully, we've sacrificed enough to the injury gods and we can remain healthy for the remainder of the year.

exactly how i feel. but to be more positive, we had these injuries and still only lost by 6 to the champs. i think these next few weeks will tell a lot about our team... if we can win against anyone, w/o key guys to our offense, THEN WE KNOW how good we are.

im still in aw that we are talking about key injuries and how to get through adversity and not who we should draft 3 weeks in. :D its nice.

On a POSITIVE note....Killings was released from the hospital today. He made a surprise visit to the teams locker room/work out facility. :)

Funny part is Kevin Walter seemingly is never IN radar, for a projected #2 WR. Even when he's SUPPOSED to emerge when the other WRs are out, didnt see that happening. Jabar Gaffney's tenure is looking like Reggie Wayne compared to this guy. I WANT him to perform well, just saying though...

if its understood Andre Davis is an option of any sort (though its just one game) when others cant even be that with the job basically handed to him, who's the person that needs to disappear from the radar?

Comparing any NFL WR to Jabar Hands of Stone Gaffney is not really cool.

In addition to the aforementioned injuries, looks like Jerome Mathis and N.D. Kalu will not play Sunday.

^^^ Yes, two more guys are out for the ATL game. Thats too many starters missing on the offense side. I don't think Schaub alone can come up with the points. I think we might struggle against ATL.
