Does anybody know how Aaron Brooks is doing at TAM USA practices? I hope he learns a lot from this experience.....
He is not a good select team player because he was too quick, throwing ally-oops to another rookie and trying to win...........but his shots did not fall that's why he is not being cut yet
Scrimmage update? I found this on aol sports talking about how the B team is supposed to be in the "loop" on future olympic team creations. Apparently, the select team is doing well.... since they beat the A team. Don't know if that means Aaron is necessarily doing good, but his team is.
It's good that the highlight of the scrimmage involved Brooks...and his passing....even if it was a half court pass.
he won't be on the actual Team USA that's in the olympics. Him and the other "Select" team members are there to scrimmage the real team and get them ready for action.
unfortunately i would bet that we will have to wait a year to see what he's made of. with steve, james, and rafer (at least 'till the deadline) still on the roster i doubt that he sees the floor at all. infact, i'd like to send brooks and novak to the d-league this year.
For the umpteenth time, Adelman watched AB a lot while in Portland last year. He's already said AB will have a chance to make an impact this year. He WILL get floor time to show what he can do. Does that mean 15-20 mins/game over 82 games? No, but a chance is all he can ask for. On Novak, this season is very important for him. He could find it very difficult to get on the floor. Maybe we will learn if he's a true NBA role player or just a circus performer who can't do it during real NBA games.
I seem to remember the Rockets scouting Brooks long before they were connected to Adelman. Just because Adelman likes his game and has watched him quite a bit doesn't mean he's an Adelman pick and thus Adelman is particularly looking to give him time. Carroll Dawson and Lindsey were the ones that had him pegged even last year to be drafted.
