Fan sites unite!

Hey guys,

As you may know, I have been getting more involved with Houston Rocket fan sites and writing columns for both Clutch City and the RocketGuy.

Anyway, I want to know if there are any other webmasters out there who want to start some sort of "community."

First of all, I think we should all link to eatch other and have some sort of web ring for all to use. I already have one, but if any of you have a better idea let me know.

Basically, I want to have Rocket fans aware of other fan sites. Clutch City is obviously very well known and doesn't need any more publicity.
There are a bunch of good sites out there worth a visit, but many of us get discouraged when we don't get a single hit after spending hours and hours working on our pages.

So, are there any of you guys out there that are interested?

I know DREAMer has a nice site going. Johnny Rocket has a decent page going as well.
JunkYard Dog's page is also worth a visit. Know of any more?

I guess I want to know if it's all worth it.

Thats true in creating my sites I found the best way to get hits is through putting it in my sig but then I still dont get very many hits, links on RocketGuys Site and SOR also helped. Over the summer when I am not busy I will edit/redign both Houston NHL and JohnyRocket's Fan Page. I can't wait.

First, thanks for the props.

Second, aren't we all already part of the ClutchCity Rocket Web Ring?

Third, if you can come up with a cool logo for the Ring, I might be interested. But, I don't like having a lot of banners and stuff on my pages, and I'm already a member of two web rings including Clutch's.

About Clutch's ring...

The thing that bothers me about it si that so few sites on the ring are actually update. So, I often find myself browsing through sites that haven't been updated in years. If Clutch changed that, I'll would just take my ring off.

I made up a banner already, but I guess it could use improvements. Let me know if you've got anymore ideas.

Finally, I don't like banners either. But, if they're useful...why not?
