We were in Starbucks and JVG walks in. He orders a coffee so my friend walks over to him and say Rockets did well with him as coach. He said, he tried and then he said he hoped the Rockets would do well next year. Then this dork pipes up and says, "Ya they will, cause you aren't there". Everyone started laughing and Jeff walked out the door.
i dont like the dude as our coach, but damn, thats just rude........if i ever saw him i would.......just not say anything
Yeah I thought it was classless too but then I didn't get why everyone started laughing. It was like everyone started following the bully. Like Why??
Thats hilarious, I would have said the same thing. I have his address, I considered egging his house or something while I drove home from game 7
Maybe this guy lives in Cleveland...? Anyways, I'd punch that guy's face in if that ever happened in my presence. That' is the rudest thing to say to someone who got fired. It's not like I go to his mum's funeral and be like "well, at least this world has 1 less person which means more room for us." Was he your friend? I would be very ashamed of his manners. Now I never fully liked JVG, but the man did his best 110% for this team. I'd like to see him try a Rocket's coaching job and piss on his face when he fails the first day.
Not my friend. At the end of the day, you gotta respect JVG for all the hours he poured into this team. He put his heart and soul into the team to try to win. We might not like what he did but I believe he did his best.
I once heard a dork tell Nick Anderson, "thanks for game 1". The look on his face... I wish I could meet JVG. I didn't agree with a lot of things he did but I want the chance to tell him thanks for giving a team of guys that had barely played with each other an identity.
that's just rude. the guy was almost coach of the year. he had a great season. he did a great job. the problem is his style of play isn't what les wants. i'm sure if we kept JVG and added james and artest we could go just as far.
