Ray allen is on the Dream team ?

Saw on nbatalk.com that ray allen was picked for the team. he beat out carter, iverson, and bryant. The reason being was the committee wanted a pure shooter.

What do you guys think ? i personally think that carter would have been a better pick, but it is irrelevant.

Thats a stupid pick. Ray allen is a great player but come on CARTER!!!!!!!

I think Carter should of been picked. He is amazing, this guy would of made the team more fun to watch.

yeah, I heard about Allen's inclusion earlier today. Their debating a lot on the local radio here if VCarter should have been on the team or not. While everyone acknowledges Allen's game, you cannot ignore Carter's either.

In addition to the fact that the Dream Team wants and needs a pure shooter from the outside - 3 point shooters are worth that much more in the international game - there may be political factors involved as well.
Among the guys on the selection committee was Bucs GM Ernie Grunfield (sp?), and I'm sure he had some influence on the voting.

But you can't say Carter is getting disrespected, as him leading the East in All-stat votes shows.
