Basketball Play-by-Play

This Coming Wednesday, the 15th, The TX Tech Lady Raiders host Lamar. I get to do play-by-play and Color Commentary for the game. It will be my first time doing this LIVE on Radio for both things and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to give.

The Game starts at 7pm and can be heard on the internet at http://www.ttu.edu/~ktxt/home.html Just Click the "On Air" Icon and it will start streaming to you.

How to be a color commentator in 3 easy steps:

• Watch tapes with Bill Walton as the color commentator.
• Take notes of everything he says.
• NEVER repeat what you just wrote down.

For play-by-play, I'd say listen to Gene and pick up what you can. Good Luck.
