I mentioned recently that I started dating, so I'm pretty rusty when it comes to spotting psychos.
Recently, I went to my motorcycle safety class (of which I completed as well as passed my DPS written exam thank you very much) and met this girl in the class. She seemed like a nice person and when it was over we stopped at a restaurant and talked for a little while.
Her Mom and daughter pops up after 30 minutes and seemed like really nice people (did I mention my psycho radar needs serious adjustment?). Anyhow, it was a good conversation and we exchanged phone numbers. She lives on the other side of town so getting together incurred a delay. We had many things in common and talked on the phone for a few hours on Monday. Same with Tuesday . Wednesday I started to get a little freaked out, because she started talking more personal. By Thursday, I told her that I didn't think this was going to work out (all of this was determined from phone conversation). She was really acting weird and said that when she takes care of her co-dependant problems that she thought had went away, she would call me. I said take care of yourself and goodbye.
I thought that was it. At least I had hope it was and she just called me and said she wanted to talk tonight.
Now I'm kinda scared of this woman. I don't need this in my life.
Have you had a similar issue and what did you do?

Don't call. Don't answer. Be aloof. Not rude, just....aloof. Let her leave a message and see whether it sounds crazy, and go from there. Her mom and daughter showing up is just plain weird for a first-time-ish meeting. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, yo.

you pretty much already told her and handled this just fine. now all you have to do is not answer the phone. Having never even gone on a date with her, I don't see why you need to say "I don't think this is going to work out" twice.
I think you did fine.

She said she was in the class as a gift from her sister who is a doctor and owns 3 Harleys.
She's an elementary school nurse.
I just heard nurse and thought that was hot.

This girl and I spent a month or two talking on the phone. I was really getting into her and she never seemed like she was crazy or whatever. She makes the trip to NYC, I pick her up. We go back to my house and have sex, and afterwards, she's like "I'm married and I have a child, and no my husband doesn't know about this".
After she goes back home, she calls me 5 times a day, I tell her she's crazy and that I didn't want to talk to her so she broke her TV and burned all the pictures she took of me. How do I know this? Because she showed up at my house a week later. she would periodically send me emails for a whole year after showing up at my house.
psycho.

Whats the harm in stringing her along a bit? You can probably get some wild sex out of it if she's that co-dependent and trying to impress you. Just cut it off after about a week or so. :D

True...I brought this girl over and when we were done, dropped her back to her car, cool...Well, we went to her house, the next night and my magnet from Mexico was on her fridge...I was like, wtf...She said it was a momento of our night...I guess becuase I'm mexican or something...weird...
Of course I got it back, its the principal of the thing...
Don't listen to these fools...psycho women are hot...hit it, as I would...The problem is, you can't just hit it and quit it without a restraining order...

I have a friend who has a psycho gf, he wanted to break up with her but kept holding it off because he was concerned about her doing something stupid to herself.
Well, she stopped taking her pill without telling him and now she's pregnant and wants to keep the kid without his help. So yeah, being compassionate to psycho chicks can bite you back in the ass. Doesn't help that she's an immature 23 year old and he needs to take the bar exam this july.

Being a musician, I have absolutely no experience with psychotic women.
:D :D :D
swilkins, if she has already mentioned trying to beat co-dependency problems, I would run like the freaking wind if I were in your shoes.

It is especially hard since she already has a child, and may well skip the thought process in dating, and immediately begin thinking of a new family unit.
I might take the call, and try and make it even more clear to her that isn't working. Unless her talk to you ends up being a perfectly reasonable behavior for her oddness, then tell her that her call to you this evening wasn't really appropriate.
Or you could just not take the phone call. Either way, be happy you found out now rather than later.

I once dated a girl who insisted she was abducted by aliens and the aliens inserted metal rods in her shins.
She was from Lubbock so not a surprise.
The next girl I went out with asked if I ever called her out by using a metal detector.
She was from Utah so not a surprise.
Both were also redheads. Im currently married to a redhead.
Wait a minute....
