Stevie Franchise with a terrific finish to the game against his hometown team. Here's the scenario: Wizards down three; Stevie drives inside and gets an 'and 1'...but he misses the game-tying FT. Knicks foul Wizards... With Knicks down by 2, Stevie dribbles the ball down the court with roughly 4 seconds remaining and pulls up for the tough three (he might have been fouled, actually) and makes it at the buzzer. Wizards win. Pretty cool finish, a rather enjoyable game.
So much for Steve Francis being out for the season because of knee pain. That may have been a total farce. Too bad the Knicks didn't buy him out so we could sign him.
Yeah, and all we got in return was some scrub named TMac. If you guys see the highlights of the Knicks game, you'll see Francis run over and kiss his grandma. I thought that was class. Francis hit the 3 after getting a tech and a lane violation earlier, then missing a chance to tie the game with time running out by missing a free throw. He redeemed himself with some nice dribbling and gunning a line-drive 3 from about 26-27 feet. It was really nice to watch. Good job, Steve.
I'm happy for Steve Francis. If he keeps up the good play for the rest of the season, the Knicks might keep him.
Typical Francis, a lot of heart, not enough brain. 7 TOs, a late lane violation to lose a critical offensive rebound, then a missed FT that could have tied the game. But a heroic buzzer beating 3 to make up for all of those. Now the Knicks could be at 8th of the East if we beat the Magic tomorrow.

I saw the whole game..Franics kept the knicks in the game and then he buried the game winning three. The freethrow he missed came off a potienl 3 point play.If he wouldn't have gotten that mucket too keep it close before the missed free throw the knicks would have lost by three at that time.
Yea, he was the only one making plays and getting others involved in crunch time. Good for him, There's no reason he cant play well every night with his skill set.
If you had watched you would see that others would get his nice passes and miss the lay-up but get fouled at the same time, thus him getting his team involved in crunch time giving him the chance to win the game -JVG
