Same deal with Carter. He'll undoubtedly want the same extension that Paul Pierce and Dick Nowitzki received last summer (three years, $60 million), which he won't get. The Nets will undoubtedly want him to win roughly 42 more games this season and postseason before they would consider anything near that figure. "We'll see," Carter said, more exasperated as the conversation dragged on. "My agent and (Rod Thorn) have had more talks than I have, so hopefully we'll get something done. They're many people out there named Dick. Although to name your child "Dick" in this day and age is not recommended.
