After this breakdown loss with the Mavs...it's obvious that Alston surely folds at crunchtime. I don't know what's the real situation for Bibby at Sacramento but he seems expendable. CD should realize that this team would not go deep to the playoffs with Alston as our PG. Damn those chemistry issues with a new player coming in...a good player would not have difficulty in meshing up with a new team...
Bibby's contract: 2006/07 2007/08 2008/09 $12,500,000 $13,500,000 $14,500,000 How exactly do we go about obtaining him???
Bibby has been really bad this season. Maybe a trade here would spark him into playing and shooting like his old self. Mentally, he's exactly the type of PG we need. He raises his game when the stakes are higher. Or course, Bibby's contract eliminates him as a viable option.
This loss is in no way can be blamed strictly on Rafer Brickson. But damn, how many stupid ass decisions is he going to make in crunch time. Is the best option we have at pg? ----- Probably Can this team survive without him getting alot of minutes? ------ Probably not Does he hit clutch shots? ----- I guess Is he the single worst player ever at shooting mother freakin layups? ---- Definitely! This team is so close to being able to go all the way. We barely lost to the best team in the NBA without our top two player. Bibby would do wonders for this team. As would Francis.
Yeah, it's Bibby's contract that makes him undesirable. He is putting up some hideous shooting percentages from three-ball this year... but this season is a clear exception to his career. Rafer on the other hand, this is a good year for him by his standards... which is scary.
Jake Tsakalidis Salary: $2,900,000 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 2.3 REB: 2.8 AST: 0.1 PER: 6.51 Bob Sura Salary: $3,840,000 Years Remaining: 2 Rafer Alston Salary: $4,200,000 Years Remaining: 4 PTS: 13.6 REB: 3.3 AST: 5.3 PER: 13.04 and draft picks for ronnie price and mike bibby
If you watched Bibby the other day, you'll notice how absolutely awful he played and what's worse is that he's been like that all year long. His shooting touch has been bad and he just doesn't have the scoring ability he once had. And you think Rafer's defense is bad but just look at Bibby, the guy is a human turnstile. And with a 10+ million dollar salary for a few more years, I'd pass. He's not the same guy he used to be and the Rockets have no reason to take on that kind of contract.
what you mean is... why isn't mutombo catching them? a good basketball play is a good basketball play. it's hard to not do the right thing. in the heat of a game the 2nd nature type thing to do is the right thing most times. not rafer's fault.
We don't have the pieces to get Bibby without giving up Yao or T-Mac. Bibby is certainly not in the same league as them but the Kings probably won't give him up for anything that we have.
