Anyone else experience totally stuckup fans when you sit closer and closer to the floor. Everytime we would stand up and cheer the rockets you could hear some old lady or some guy in a tie saying, "please sit down, we cant see" "sit down" " MOVE out the way" wtf. its a rockets game that I PAYED FOR. I STAND UP THE WHOLE GAME IF I CHOOSE TO do so. i mean half the things on the jumbotron were like, STAND UP, get loud. its hard to get loud when your not standing up. and yelling and howling. I truly hate those fans that don't stand up nor let others stand. These type of fans increase the closer you get to the floor seats. other than that. AWESOME GAME!!!
dude i know excaclty what you mean! i couldn't agree with you more, but sometimes there's like no one, and i mean NO ONE standing up, and there's the classic dude holding a bigass "it's my birthday sign" or something, and lets not forget the annoying drunk guy who shouts "lets go houston" but is actually just trying to get attention to himself, like he starts dancing and stuff so ppl will look at him... i don't care for those fans, i'm like you i think, i get loud and i get up, but sometimes when everyone's sitting, specially if there's small kids behind me, i chill for a few minutes. ha! but yeah, the upper bowl and the rowdies section is where it's at. lower bowl fans are kinda old but they leave by the 3rd quarter. lol
It looks terrible on TV. Almost half (maybe more) have no expression when the team scores or something and only the side with the rowdies (great job guys) do the FT distraction thing. The other side is nothing...how sad. So when the other team is on one side of the court no one is waving sh*t to throw em off...i'm not sure how much it affects NBA players but i'm sure it doesn't go unnoticed. At least it looks like that i'm not sure if that's how it is. If it wasn't for the Rowdies, you would think the Toyota Center was a library.
The same thing happened to me at a game last season. There was like 25 seconds left in the 4th quarter and the Rockets are only down by like 4 trying to make a comeback so I stand up to watch... and some jacka$$es behind me have the nerve to tell me to sit down. WTF?! I complied only because the seats I was sitting in was not really my seat (I moved way down to the lower rows from the higher rows). Seconds later, they stand up when everybody in the lower half stood up with about 10-15 seconds to go... That really made me mad... Houston has the worst effin fans ever
this is probably the fourth game ive been to. and almost everytime it happens. Im going to try to get tickets behind the rowdies next time...
