    Yes!!!!!!!

I am a diehard fan that is stuck in Plano, and cannot see the team (good or horrible) on TV up here... :(

My birthday is the 29th... (so it's a gift from the family) :D

I have been longing to visit Reliant... :)

We may even have a chance to beat the Browns!!! ;)

My first NFL game was Oilers-Browns in 1986... :)

    I'm pumped!

Plus, we got all 6 tickets + parking in the purple lot for under $200! A task impossible to complete during a winning year...

(See... there can be some good come out of a horrible season!)

Yeah, I read somewhere that the ticket brokers in Houston are really "motivated" to move 2006 Texans' game tickets else they end up as "wallpaper". I don't know whether to offer you my congrats or sympathy...

I'd be willing to join you if I weren't going to the ROCKETS' game. In fact, I might make both, if I can get me at least 1 ticket.

i may have told this story before.

i have a buddy whose grandfather was an original season ticket holder with the oilers. they had those tickets for years. when the texans came to town, my buddy and his father bought a PSL and season tix to the Texans.

i understand they're seriously considering getting rid of them, now, because they literally could not GIVE away the seats this year to clients. no one wanted them.

Thats what my dad is considering, and I could care less to be honest, I went to 1 preseason game and the Titans game, we were able to sell 4 of them before the season started thankfully. and the remaining ones we have basically given away

That's messed up about "giving them away", MadMax. I am a DIE-HARD Texans' fan--you know I ain't lyin'--who'd take them. Why ya'll don't say stuff like this while the season is in its apogee??!?!? :(

Thanks for the stubhub tip, IROC it.

they're looking to use the tickets for business development, swoly. their clients and potential clients are turning them down...over and over again. that means it's not worth the investment in them.

that's what pro sports tickets have become. they're a business development/marketing budget question for many firms each year. when your product is so poor that you're not able to give the tickets away to clients/potential clients, then it no longer makes sense to keep paying for them.

That's odd because my friend has had no problem selling his tickets this season to his firm to use for the same reason.

Yeah, MadMax is just a Texans hater.

Granted tickets have had diminished value the last two years over the previous three but to make the statement "I can't give my tickets away" is stupid.

Four of the Six games this season I have had friends call me to find extras if I could so don't come with that bs.

BTW, I am sure they were turned down but you made it sound like you could not give them away.

    so i'm a liar??

ummm..clearly you didn't read too far into it, because i never said the seats were mine to give away, at all.

and in case you haven't noticed...there are quite a few empty seats at Reliant Stadium the past 2 years.

I certainly don't believe he's lying about it. I was just responding to his story with one of my own.

WHEN DID I SAY YOU WERE A LIAR?

I made the point that the story was embelished (sp)

but it's not embellished. they didn't buy these tickets to give away to the general public. to hand out to homeless people. or college kids. they have no interest in buying texans tickets for that purpose...they write them off as a business/marketing expense.

they bought the tickets to give away to clients...AS MY FIRST POST IN HERE SAID. their clients and potential clients did not want them. they would not take them.

that your buddies would have taken them is completely irrelevant to anything i posted here.

now tell me what i embellished.
