Granted it's a small venue, but it can't be worse than the Verizon Theatre, can it? I've driven by that place and it looks pretty new.

Are all the members of Styx still together?

Styx? I hear they're a bunch of renegades.

It's Tommy Shaw, James Young, and four nobodies.

Stafford Centre is a multi-use facility. For a concert, it holds a little over 1,000 people. That makes it less than half the size of Verizon Wireless Theatre.

Even worse than arena rock devolving into small venue rock, it looks like Clutch has finally discontinued the Styx Forum.

They haven't had Dennis DeYoung for a while now ... pretty pointless.

I was watching a VH1 special the other day, and they mentioned that Culture Club had recently reunited without Boy George. LOL! Some of these bands crack me up.

I agree 100%.

The one that gets me is Little Feat keeping going after Lowell George died.
I love Little Feat's music, but the band died when Lowell George died IHMO.

If Shaw and Young want to have a band and tour, that's their perogative. They just shouldn't call it Styx. Not that I care either way. Just bugs me when bands keep their name when 3/5ths of the original members aren't in the band anymore. Especially when one of them (DeYoung) is the lead singer/primary song writer and responsible for all of their "hits".

You can go visit Dennis DeYoung in Eau Claire, WI. I heard from someone who grew up there that outside his house he (Dennis DeYoung) used to have a sign saying "Dennis DeYoung the Writer of "Lady" is now on Tour!".

Which is still not as bad as Queen touring without Freddy, or The Doors touring without Jim.

Hell, even Journey going on the road without Steve Perry was kind of ridiculous.

I know that many of these bands' songs were written by members other than the lead singer, so those members may still feel entitled to play them live, but still.. come on. Gotta keep the cash machine going, I guess.
