small plane/helicopter crashes into building in NYC

    71st or 72nd street. supposedly large fire on the 30th floor or so.

    one source is reporting helicopter...another small plane.

    thats a block from where I used to live (york btwn 73 and 74)... York ave is full of high rise doorman buildings, hospitals, and the Sothebys Auction house...

    Looks like he was seeing a pattern in the dates... in other words, I wouldn't want to be near NYC on 11/11/11, when that day comes. :(

    Anyway, sounds scary. :( Some sort of copycat terrorist attack?

    I'm guessing this was an accident. I was watching the feed at KHOU.com and I swear I heard the guy say it was a helicopter.

    yeah, they've gone back and forth. CNN is now reporting fixed wing aircraft, though.
