Derek Anderson would have been a great fit for last year's Miami Heat team, which comprised of a bunch of individual talent with no concept of playing within a system. Now that the Walkers and Williams have settled down to some extent, resulting in a championship, he'll have to take his superstar-like powers to some other fortunate team.

Still can't believe we signed this guy over Greg Buckner.

Yes if there's anything Anderson showed, it's that he deserves more playing time, what with 5.8 ppg on 30% shooting.

You'd think he'd learn, considering his career-killing decision to leave the Spurs for the Blazers. That was as much about PT and ego-massaging as it was money.

Give him a few more shots and he might be up around 32-33%.

He looked really good during the preseason last year. I thought he would be an effective gunner off the bench. A lot of us missed the boat on DA.

Especially since CD traded him for a TE that resulted in getting Snyder. So..uh...yeah, JVG was smart to release him.

Sucks that he got a ring last season. The games in which I watched him, he was just HORRIBLE.

Yeah but he'll be one those of hundreds of players that get a ring as a result of being in the right place at the right time but adding nothing.

Greg Buckner would have been a great signing for the Rockets. Jeff Van Gundy would've loved his hustle. I watched him play a lot in college at Clemson, he was a leader and learned how to do the little things to become a good role player in the NBA. He'd still be on the roster contributing if the Rockets didn't make the mistake that was Derek Anderson (nice cornrows btw).

Yeah I can't believe the Rockets and the Lakers were high on DA last year. And I was actually a little disappointed when the Lakers didn't get him but was happy the Rockets got him  .

The fans here can be awfully funny. The excuse-making for DA and Stro last year was comical. When both of them proved to be the same guys they've been for the last few years, it got twisted to JVG screwing them up. Now that they're gone, reality's settling back in.

We're hilarious around here. Pure objectivity. Can't wait for the board to turn on Kill Bill.
