    Claim Targets Minnesota Timberwolves' Eddie Griffin

    (CBS) MINNEAPOLIS A lawsuit was filed Thursday against Minnesota Timberwolves forward Eddie Griffin and the Minneapolis Police Department in connection with an accident involving Griffin in late March.

    Interim Police Chief Tim Dolan ordered an internal investigation of the incident after the WCCO-TV I-TEAM contacted him last week about the crash, reports WCCO-TV's Caroline Lowe.

    The lawsuit alleges Griffin was visibly drunk when he crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a parked Chevy Suburban in front of a store in southeast Minneapolis.

    It also claims Griffin told a witness he was watching p*rnography and masturbating as he drove that night.

    Witnesses said the two officers who handled the incident did not test Griffin for alcohol. Instead, they gave him tickets for driving without a license and inattentive driving and also drove him to his home in St. Paul.

    WCCO-TV has obtained a copy of the store's security video and audio of the 911 calls from that night and plans to air them Thursday at 11 p.m. ET.

    If we had kept Gay, I guarentee you his lack of motivation would've had him masturbating while driving drunk sooner or later. It might take a few years but he'll be masturbating driving drunk bc he's exactly like Eddie Griffin in every way because I think so. Pssssssht.

    hmmmmmm. Why would eddie tell a witness this. The drunk part is believable but masturbating and telling somebody about it?

    Dear God, why would Griffin tell someone he was masturbating?

    On the other hand it explains why Griffin likes shooting threes, he is afraid of "going off" on somebody in the paint.

    Despite the fact that Eddie Griffin is pathetic (in just about any way you look at him including as a basketball player), he will have one or two 20 point games next season where he hits 5/7 beyond the arc and some smart-aleck member will start a new thread saying we should have kept him. :rolleyes:

    This reminds me of the couple of times i've seen people driving around watching p*rn on their little tv screens in their car. Who the hell does that? Seriously, it's one of the weirdest things someone can do while driving... :eek:

    Let's trade Battier for EG straight up. EG lives a more interesting life and will provide us many hours BBS pleasure as we discuss his foibles. And we get an upgrade at the 4, as long as he is not in jail. CD get it done!!!
