Don't think so, if people don't like JVG style, they'll hate Brown

Not realistic, or really worth discussing IMO.

why should the rockets fire jvg and hire larry brown?

    look at their coaching record:

lb: 57.7% regular season, 51.9% postseason
jvg: 56.8% regular season, 50.6% postseason

and what's the big difference between the two anyways?

basically larry brown is a bigger discipline freak and more stubborn than jvg. and he's got a really big ego.

It's incredible how ridiculous some of these people on this board are.

Yes, if you want our team to lose all personality, individualism and to be restrained in an on-court straitjacket, then yes, Brown is your man.

Oh, and that also applies to those who want your coach to be bigger than your team.

No thanks. I think Larry Brown is more of a player than a coach. Seeing how he hops around from team to team. I just wouldn't feel a sense of security as far as having Brown as a head coach long term. Health has been a major issue with Brown the past couple years. Plus, the way he handled his last season as Pistons Head Coach wasnt exactly the best way in my opinion.

Absolutely agree. This is the only NBA personage with more baggage that Stephon Marbury.

Larry Brown is still a good coach (one terrible year with a questionable roster doesn't change that), but he's old and likely to retire at a moment's notice. Would be a poor choice.
