http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shotgun So what is your favorite? Many would say if you had to pick one firearm and one only,...the shotgun would be it. What firearm is as versatile? From the smallest of game to among the largest...skeet shooting, bird hunting (just don't ask Cheney ), and of course home defense... The 12 gauge is probably the best. Recoil can be heavy, but you don't really notice it like shooting a high energy pistol that wants to jump out of your hand...If you have a home defense shotgun it is imperative to practice at an available range to hone skills that get awkward when adrenaline is pumping... As much as I love my "evil-looking" Bushmaster M4 semi-auto with bayonet, laser grip sights, the 12 gauge is still the best when it comes to one shot stops... I love my Wilson Combat standard model shotgun, but I'm not sure about the light pump. It doesn't seem to pump as fast as a regular tactical pump without the light... What shotguns have you shot? What are the characteristic you like? What brand preference? What is on your wishlist? What is the load preference? Do you think a light attached to the pump is a good idea or a bad one?
I have a Winchester combat style shotty for home defense, pump action and fiber sights for maximum burglar ass kickin pleasure.
Uh, actually my sources say that you both do. /see what I did there, implying that I have inside information that you both do in fact have small penises
Open your window and stand next to it so I can slap you upside the head with my man-meat, Junior! Wait a second....what part of town are you in???
I don't own one, but if I did I would get a 12 gauge double barrel coach gun like they used in the old west. I would never want a different one. It would not have shell ejectors. If I was to get a pistol I would get a Ruger Vaquero because it too is like the old Colt Peacemaker used in the old west. It is also solid enough to practice gun twirling and spinning, and can handle a lot of fire. If I was to get a rifle I would some type of recreation of the Winchester '73 lever action repeating rifle. If it was good enough for Chuck Conners as the Rifle Man why wouldn't it be good enough for me? Old timey weapons are where its at. At some point I may actually get the weapons I mentioned above.
Have you ever visited the antique gun store at Fondren & Richmond? It's in a strip mall on the southeast corner of the intersection. I forget the name of the place, but it is a fascinating store to browse in.
Shotgun Willie sits around in his underwear Bitin' a bullet, pullin' out all of his hair Shotgun Willie has got all of his family there You can't make a record if you ain't got nothin' to say You can't make a record if you ain't got nothin' to say You can't play music if you don't know nothin' to play (Repeat 1st verse) Well, John T. (Fours)? was workin' with the Klu Klux Klan The six foot five John T was a hell of a man Made a lot of money sellin' sheets on the family plan (Repeat 1st verse)
Why bother with a shotgun? For home defense I use a squadron of Swiss pikemen. Expensive, but they make good fondue.
